Bio of Deb Everson-Borofka, PhD
Deb Everson-Borofka is a memoirist whose work has appeared in local papers and e-zines, and can be heard on the public radio program, Valley Writers Read. She received her Ph.D. from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2005.
Her interests include the interface of memory and language, personal mythology, individual learning styles as part of personal mythology, and in particular, Women’s Memoir. Her dissertation, titled Mnemosyne’s Realm: Crafting Memoir, is currently being re-worked for publication. In 2005, Deb served as one of the Founding Faculty for Pacifica Graduate Institute’s new Humanities Program, developing and teaching courses including Personal Styles of Learning and Narrative Traditions. Beginning in the fall of 2007, she will be teaching for the UCLA Extension’s Writers
Program.
